Privacy notice
Last updated 2 November 2026.
You can browse Papers with Alpha without an account, and we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. If you create an account, this notice explains what we keep and why, in line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
What we collect, and why
- Your email address (and name, if you sign in with Google or GitHub): to sign you in and, only if you opt in, to send the weekly digest.
- Your votes: to show public like and dislike totals. Totals are public; who voted is never shown.
- Your library, notes and data profile: so they follow you across devices. Notes are private to you.
- Submissions and reports you send: so we can review them.
If you don't log in, your library, notes and data profile stay in your own browser and never reach us.
Who processes it
Accounts and data are stored with Supabase, our database provider. The site is served by Cloudflare. We don't sell or share your data with anyone else.
Your choices
- Turn the weekly digest on or off at any time on your account page. We record when you agreed.
- Download everything we hold about you from the account page.
- Delete your account from the account page. This removes your data straight away, and your votes come off the public totals.
